Joe Ward is the Founder, President, and CEO of Ward Management Group LLC, a service-disabled veteran owned small business.
He is a retired Air Force officer who deployed during OPERATION RESTORE HOPE, former member of the federal government Senior Executive Service, and former officer with two different global management consulting firms.
He was the first African American to lead the National Business Center (NBC) in the history of the Department of the Interior and arguably one of the most visible and high-profile executives in the Department at that time. Under his leadership, the NBC was recognized as one of the top federal shared service centers in the federal government.
Joe enjoys spending his spare time with his bride Valerie, six kids and 10 grandkids (and counting), and following his beloved UCONN basketball teams. He is passionate about mentoring and believes we all have a responsibility to "Reach One and Teach One"! Mr. Ward is the fundraising chair for the Ira Dorsey Scholarship Endowment Fund, an Executive Fellow with the KPMG Government Institute, and past treasurer, African American Federal Executive Association.
